Clitic boundaries
Webby Jukes to indicate an affixal clitic boundary, a notation which we adopt here. The affixal clitic displays a mixture of clitic and affix properties (see Jukes 2006, Basri, Broselow, and Finer 1999, 2012). For simplicity, we treat the ergative marker here as an affix, rather than a clitic (as does Jukes for Makassarese).
